Listener Driven Radio Adds Seven Major Market Stations

Listener Driven Radio (ListenerDrivenRadio.com) announced seven new major market affiliates today including Classic Rocker KLOS/Los Angeles, Hot ACs KSTP/Minneapolis (KS-95) and KIMN/Denver (Mix 100), Urban AC WDAS/Philadelphia, Alternative Rock WRFF/Philadelphia (Radio 104.5), Modern AC KCKC/Kansas City (Alice 102), and newly launched AC CKEA/Edmonton (Lite 95-7). These new additions bring Listener Driven Radio's affiliate count to over 70 radio stations around the world.

All of these new stations will use the LDR.1 platform to power new programming features on the air, and as always, LDR is white-labeled so that every station can brand it however they choose. KLOS/Los Angeles is using LDR.1 to power lunchtime and workday features including Lunch on Demand, where listeners will "play what they want" every workday at noon. KS95 in Minneapolis is branding LDR.1 on the air as "You Pick It, We Play It," where listeners can pick the "rewind" song every hour during the workday.

Incentivizing listeners to interact during the workday is also a goal of Edmonton's recently launched AC, "Lite 95-7," is On Demand Workday. Philadelphia's legendary Urban AC WDAS 105.3 and Hot AC Mix 100 in Denver are also both using LDR.1 to drive workday time spent listening. In Philadelphia, LDR will power a nighttime feature on Radio 104.5 called Majority Rules. Listeners will vote for songs that play each hour on the station's night show.

"This continues to be an outstanding year of growth for LDR. Our goal is to drive ratings, revenue, and web traffic for our radio station partners. We are proud and honored to welcome stations from Citadel, Hubbard, Clear Channel, Wilks Broadcasting, and Harvard Broadcasting to the LDR family," said Daniel Anstandig, President of Listener Driven Radio.

With more than 70 affiliate stations, major networks, and broadcast groups in the USA, Canada, and Europe, LDR is ground breaking software that empowers listeners to become on-air programming collaborators, fostering loyalty via real time interaction. Listeners can access a radio station's playlist via mobile or the station's website and vote for their favorite songs. Input and voting from listeners directly affects the music played on the station. The platform also automatically emails and instant messages listeners who opt in, informing them that their favorite track plays on the air and impacting PPM results.
